Laura Gonnerman

Laura Gonnermann is Research Assistant and PhD student at the Faculty of Theology, Leipzig University (Chair of Prof. Dr. Angelika Berlejung). She studied Theology and German literature and linguistics as well as Egyptology in Kiel (Germany) and Basel (Switzerland).

Her PhD project focusses on hieroglyphic inscribed Egyptian amulets found in the southern Levant and their interconnections to the Hebrew Bible as well as the religious history of the southern Levant.

Besides, Laura Gonnermann is interested in linguistic phenomena as multilingualism and cognitive metaphors and different sozio-historical approaches like postcolonial studies or gender studies.
